5 outdoor activities to do this spring

As the weather improves, we recommend getting some vitamin d and spending some quality time with friends and family outside. Here are some activities that you can do outside this spring.

Going on a walk is such a great way to spend time with family while also getting in your daily exercise. Find some new places to explore. Many of us may pass places and wonder what it is and never go back to find out. Now is your time to go back and explore the places you have always wanted to. Or find somewhere completely new that you didn’t even know existed. You will be surprised how many local nature walks exist without you knowing. There are some beautiful places so make sure you take a camera with you too!


If you don’t like walking, you may find a bike ride more appealing. It gives you the opportunity to travel further while being environmentally friendly. Take the whole family out and explore the countryside or mountains. 


Either after a long walk or cycle, or just doing it on its own, a picnic is a great way to spend some time outdoors with friends and family. Pack your favourite foods or try something new that one of your friends may enjoy. 

Local attractions

There are many attractions around the UK that are great to go visit with the family. It may be something as simple as going to a local beach or nature reserve. Find a farm to take the kids to or even a park that you’ve never been to before.


If you and your family like to get active, why not try out a new sport. Take the family to a local park to have a game of football or even frisbee. It gets that daily exercise in while bringing the family even closer together.
